We worship You, Lord Jesus Christ, for You are the incarnation of God’s wisdom. Your judgments are unsearchable. Your ways are past finding out. Your thoughts are higher than ours. Your plans never include a mistake. There are no accidents as You carry out Your purpose. You never have to second-guess what You have done, or what You plan to do. You are right…all the time, in every way.

We repent of our attitude of familiarity with You that has caused us to lose our reverential fear of You, and thus we have not even the beginning of wisdom with which to handle the vast knowledge we possess.
We repent as we acknowledge our foolishness of denying You as the one, true, living God, our Creator to whom we are accountable, living as though our lives are a cosmic accident with no eternal significance, purpose or meaning.
We repent of leaning on our own understanding, immersing ourselves in politics to change our nation, instead of looking to You.
We repent, as a church, Your Body, of depending on programs instead of prayer, on activities instead of the Spirit’s life, on orthodoxy instead of obedience.
We repent of succumbing to conventional wisdom or popular opinion instead of seeking You first, and asking You what we should or should not do.

We choose to honor You as the source of all life, living with reverential fear and respect for You, and conducting ourselves according to Your stated principles and values as given in Your Word.

We ask that our example of looking to You for wisdom would be contagious, as others observe that life lived according to Your wisdom works.
We ask that You would open our spiritual eyes to see the foolishness of following the crowd, or compromising eternal Truth because it is not politically correct, or succumbing to peer pressure in order to be more accepted, or trying to blend into our culture so as not to invite criticism or ostracism, and so live eternally wasted lives.
We ask that You expose the lies that deny the Truth, and the spin that distorts the Truth, so that evil has no hiding place.
We ask that You generously give us and our leaders wisdom from on High.
We ask that You give us creative wisdom to effectively present the Gospel to our generation.
Some call me a pessimist and I can see why they would be under that impression. After all, my articles aren’t known for their flowery descriptions of our grandchildren’s blissful future where everyone will have profitable jobs, big houses and healthy lives. No, I’ve always been a realist and folks, the truth is this: the future of this world and our country in particular, grows darker by the hour. THAT is the reality of our situation.
There is a theory of government that’s widely attributed to Alexander Tytler back in 1787:
“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that the voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

The United States of America will celebrate her 238th birthday in a few days, July 4, 2014. According to the historical record, we’ve squeezed out 38 additional years of grace, freedom and prosperity from the average time a democracy usually lasts. If you’ve been paying attention to the signs, you know our time is rapidly coming to a close.
Our government is rife with Globalist puppets who are working feverishly to bring us into bondage and subjection to the antichrist system New World Order. And a fine job they are doing too!
In October 2008, then Senator Obama from Illinois made the very telling announcement that his voters were “five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” As far as I know, that’s the only promise he’s actually kept. In these 6 years of his Presidency, we’ve morphed from a mostly internally peaceful, prosperous nation with traditional notions of what constitutes a family unit, to a racially, economically, sexually, religiously divided, morally bankrupt society. Thank you, Mr. Obama and all who voted for you. Twice.
To be fair, which I DO try to be, the downfall of this nation started before the Occupant was selected by the Powers That Be to facilitate the downfall of the greatest, most powerful and prosperous nation ever to inhabit the earth. It’s difficult to pinpoint the most destructive of all American Presidents, but if I had to pick one I’d have to choose Woodrow Wilson. Surprised? Yeah, I bet you are!
In 1913, he signed the Revenue Act, which would end up shifting the balance of financial power over the states to the U.S. Congress. Today, individual states are often forced to choose between adopting Congressional Legislation as State law, or face losing Federal funding. This is not what the Founding Fathers intended. Today, we are governed primarily by Federal as opposed to State laws.
The brilliant Mr. Wilson also signed our death knell, the Federal Reserve Act, into law on December 23, 1913. This transferred the power to create money from the American government to a private group of bankers, A/K/A the Globalist elite. This was blatantly unconstitutional but as usual, no one was paying attention to what the government was doing right before Christmas.
Congressman Charles Lindbergh, Sr. warned “This act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President signs this act the invisible government by the money power, proven to exist by the Money Trust Investigation, will be legalized.” Too bad no one listened.
Three years later, President Wilson said “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.” Well, you should have thought of that before you signed the law. Thanks a lot, you shortsighted idiot!
Let’s review the basic record of the most destructive subsequent American Presidents since Wilson.
Franklin Roosevelt: Instituted the New Deal which implemented the behemoth Social Security Act, because he felt the American people were too stupid to save for their own retirement. This began the Nanny State. He also oversaw the development of the nuclear bomb.
Harry Truman: He ordered the nuclear strikes against Japan in WWII and assisted in founding the United Nations, A/K/A governing body of the New World Order.
Lyndon Johnson: Designed the “Great Society” which brought us the behemoths of Medicare and Medicaid. He also instituted the Environmental Protection Agency, which is fond of robbing people of their private property, and started the “War on Poverty” which has been a colossal failure and waste of taxpayer money. He also enriched the Military Industrial Complex by escalating the Vietnam War.
Jimmy Carter: Was…well…Jimmy Carter. He never met a 3rd World dictator he didn’t like. He started the Department of Education, whose agenda is more about teaching kindergarteners about the sodomite, lesbian, bisexual, transgender lifestyles, than reading, writing or arithmetic. Oh yeah. He’s a harsh, longtime critic of Israel too.
Ronald Reagan: Although a seemingly great, patriotic, Godly man, he started the “War on Drugs” which has only increased the profitability of Mexican and South American drug cartels. Under his watch the wealthiest 20% now own 95% of the nation’s wealth, and the wealthiest 1% of those people own most of that. Now we know where the 1% were spawned.
H.W. Bush: A Skull and Crossbones, Globalist, New World Order freak.
Bill Clinton: Thoroughly corrupt. Started the whole Global Warming thing with Al Gore, which was first Global Cooling which threatened to usher in a new ice age; then Global Warming which has been disproved; is now repackaged as Climate Change. He and his very frightening wife, the Hildabeast are New World Order, Globalist elites.
George W. Bush: Skull and Crossbones, Globalist, New World Order freak like his Daddy and Granddaddy before him. Under the guise of the phony “War on Terror” he pushed America over the cliff towards dictatorship by enacting the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act, both of which decimates the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Which brings us to the current Occupant. You know. The one who brags how good he is at killing people?
I do want to give a shout out to two former Presidents. The first is Dwight Eisenhower who in his farewell speech, warned the country about the dangers of massive deficit spending and awarding government contracts to private military manufacturers. He coined and defined the term “Military Industrial Complex” which is alive and thriving today.
Second is John Kennedy who tried to buck the Powers That Be, the banker Globalist elite who really run this country, by first promising to withdraw all troops from Vietnam by 1965, which would have caused that Military Industrial Complex billions of dollars in profit.
However, the policy which I and many other students of the NWO consider to have led to his assassination was Executive Order 11110, which would have stripped the Federal Reserve of the power to loan money to the Federal Government at interest. Not only would this have effectively ended the stranglehold of the Globalist bankers over this country, it would have prevented our National Debt. Interestingly enough, this Executive Order is still on the books, but has never been enforced by any other President. You can guess why.
So. How can we fix the mess we’re in, reclaim our Judeo/Christian heritage, put our families back together, mend our educational system, economy, churches and society? We can’t. Our window of opportunity is closed. America unleashed the literal hounds from hell when the Occupant was reelected and sworn into office. Our choice made a very clear statement to the God of our fathers.
Now, even more of our mainline church denominations have voted to accept with open arms the behaviors that God declared are an abomination in His eyes. We’ve slaughtered over 50 million of our precious babies and continue to do so today with nary a blink. The sheeple of America are dumbed down, selfish zombies who care for little more than reality TV, which Kardashian is boinking whom, sports and the newest electronic gadget. We’re a nation who has forgotten how to blush.
Yet, huge crowds will be out on the 4th of July, celebrating a nation they don’t comprehend is dead. This is likely the last ‘free’ birthday America will ever see. While they’re waterskiing on the lake, lazing by the pool or playing in the ocean, grilling GMO hotdogs, swilling warm beer and lighting sparklers, let me explain what historically happens to nations who turn their back on God.
Ezekiel 7:3-4 “Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Verse 14-17 “They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him. But they that escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity. All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.”
Verse 19-20 “They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity.”
And the coup de gras, verse 21. “And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil: and they shall pollute it.”
Reverend David Wilkerson had a horrifying vision of America’s demise back in 1973 in which he saw this very scenario happening. Everyone laughed at him because the fall and destruction of this great nation was unthinkable. My, how far we’ve come since then. Here is what he said:
These things are coming, and soon. Don’t be foolish. Get some supplies laid in for your family and pets. Plan how you’ll defend your home from marauding gangs. Do NOT trust this homicidal government when they try to lure you to a FEMA camp with the promise of food, shelter and medications. It’s highly unlikely you’ll walk out alive. You’ll either take the mark of the beast while you’re there, or be executed.
Above all, REPENT, REPENT, REPENT and accept the pardon for sin that Jesus Christ died to provide to you. He is coming soon for His Bride. Wake up, people. Please.
Oh, but that’s all so pessimistic and you probably don’t want to think about it, do you? Hey, the sun’s out and you’re ready to celebrate, so you go on and have a Happy 4th of July. Baaaah.

I have prayed and had devotions in some very interesting and unusual places. I’ve had some great times on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem and even next to a Hindu temple when I was in India. But if there was a contest of the most unusual places to have a quiet time, Jonah would’ve won. In the belly of a great fish, somewhere in the Mediterranean, he prayed to God.
In Jonah chapter 2, after he’s swallowed by the great fish, we see Jonah quickly scamper back to God after running from Him in the first chapter. He prays a relatively short but beautiful—even eloquent—prayer to God. I want you to notice several things about it.
First, notice when Jonah prayed. “Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God” (Jonah 1:17-2:1, emphasis added). It wasn’t until after three whole days and nights of whale time that he prayed. There is no record at all of Jonah praying before this point. He only lifted his voice to God when he felt he was at the end of his life. There is nothing like the confining aspect of pain to cause us to wake up and sense our need for God. In fact, for some people, pain is the only wavelength they’ll tune in to.
Notice also how Jonah prayed. There are a total of nine quotations from Psalms in his prayer, plus one from Lamentations and one from Job. They’re not direct quotations as much as free renderings, but it shows that Jonah’s mind and heart were saturated with the Scripture, so much so that it oozed out at this time of desperation. Take this as a warning: no matter how much biblical truth you expose yourself to, it’s no guarantee of a godly lifestyle. Jonah knew the Scriptures, yet Jonah disobeyed God. But here’s the encouragement: know the Bible to the extent that it does ooze out of the pores of your prayer life. When we incorporate biblical truth in our prayers, it brings breadth and depth to our prayer life, and it helps us pray according to the will of God.
Finally, consider what Jonah prayed. The theme of his prayer is simple: distress and deliverance. He was saying, “God, I realize this horrible situation is Your response to my sin of running from You. I’m in distress; Lord, give me deliverance.” He also pondered a great lesson. Verse 8 sums it up: “Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy.” In other words, if you run from God, you pay for it; you forsake your own mercy. An idol can be stone, wood, statues, cars, or philosophies—or it can be yourself. Jonah put his will over the will of God, and that’s the very peak of idolatry. He recognized that, and he turned back to the Lord.
Have you been running from God? If you sense God chasing you, you might as well pull a Jonah. Give up. Sacrifice your will to the Lord. He made us so that we’d only be satisfied when we’re lined up with His will, when we’re obedient to Him, and when we have a relationship with Him. No matter where else you turn apart from that, you come up empty. It’s like drinking salt water: no matter how much you drink, you’ll still be thirsty. In fact, you’ll eventually die of thirst. But Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink” (John 7:37).
